Surah Name: Al-Hajj Meaning: The Pilgrimage
|
Waith bawwana liibraheema makana albayti an la tushrik bee shayan watahhir baytiya li(l)ttaifeena wa(a)lqaimeena wa(al)rrukkaAAi a(l)ssujood(i) Recall when We-SWT settled for Ibrahim the place of the House, saying: associate not then with Me-SWT anything, and keep pure My-SWT House for those who circumambulate and those who stand up and those who bow and prostrate themselves. (22:26) |
Waaththin fee a(l)nnasi bi(a)lhajji yatooka rijalan waAAala kulli damirin yateena min kulli fajjin AAameeq(in) And proclaim you among mankind the pilgrimage, they shall come to you on foot and on any lean mount, coming from every deep defile. (22:27) |
Liyashhadoo manafiAAa lahum wayathkuroo isma Allahi fee ayyamin maAAloomatin AAala ma razaqahum min baheemati alanAAami fakuloo minha waatAAimoo albaisa alfaqeer(a) That they may witness the benefits to them and may mention the name of Allaah-SWT on the days known over the beast of cattle with which He-SWT has provided them. So eat of it, and feed the hungry poor. (22:28) |
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ Thumma lyaqdoo tafathahum walyoofoo nuthoorahum walyattawwafoo bi(a)lbayti alAAateeq(i) Thereafter let them cleanse their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the Ancient House. (22:29) |
Thalika waman yuAAaththim hurumati Allahi fahuwa khayrun lahu AAinda rabbihi waohillat lakumu alanAAamu illa ma yutla AAalaykum fa(i)jtaniboo a(l)rrijsa mina alawthani wa(i)jtaniboo qawla a(l)zzoor(i) Thus it is. And whosoever respects the Ordinances of Allaah-SWT it will be better for him with his Rabb-SWT . And allowed to you are the cattle, save what have been rehearsed unto you; so avoid the pollution of the idols, and avoid the falsehood. (22:30) |
Hunafaa lillahi ghayra mushrikeena bihi waman yushrik bi(A)llahi fakaannama kharra mina a(l)ssamai fatakhtafuhu a(l)ttayru aw tahwee bihi a(l)rreehu fee makanin saheeq(in) Reclining unto Allah-SWT, not associating anything with Him-SWT . And whosoever associates anything with Allah-SWT, it is as though he had fallen from the sky and birds had snatched him away or the wind had swept him to a remote place. (22:31) |
ذَلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى الْقُلُوبِ Thalika waman yuAAaththim shaAAaira Allahi fainnaha min taqwa alquloob(i) Thus it is. And whosoever venerates the rites of Allah-SWT, and then it is from the piety of the hearts. (22:32) |
لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ Lakum feeha manafiAAu ila ajalin musamman thumma mahilluha ila albayti alAAateeq(i) In them there are benefits for you for an appointed term, and thereafter the destination is towards the Ancient House. (22:33) |
